What is a Coach’s Coach?
As crazy as it may
sound in order to answer what is a coach’s coach I would have to, in
simple terms explain the very nature of coaching. It is the exercise
of asking powerful life changing questions that empower our thoughts,
decisions, and ultimately our actions. The first coaching session I sat
in was my own; a self conducted coaching session that I stumbled onto
out of necessity, at a very critical time. It was when I had to make a
life altering decision. I was at a brink in deciding my career path
after I graduated from graduate school in National Security. My choice
was to join DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) with the
possibility of being sent over to Iraq, the Middle East or some other
hardship place.
Faced with the idea
of possibly dying in the cross fires of a war, I sat and asked myself
several questions: What cause would I be willing to die for right now?
If I was the only person that had the power to use my talents to change
anything in the world, what would it be? What is it I see or think that
burdens my conscience when I see no one doing anything about it? I had a
great AHA moment, when I realized the answers to my questions. I began
to recognize what I might have known all along but never put the pieces
together. I enjoyed having the power to directly affect people’s
lives. I started to think about society’s moral decay, youth crisis,
and mediocre attitude towards life. This was what I wanted to change
and guess what I wanted to bring it to the masses which many coaches
rarely do.
It was the answers
to those questions that led to powerful, life altering decisions. I had
no idea that the answers to my questions would lead to life coaching as
my profession. I didn’t even know that there was an industry called
life coaching, until I asked myself those questions , wrote the answers
down, and began to inquire some more about it. Needless to say, I had
gone through my first life coaching session all on my own. From that
point I knew that coaching was not only a skill or just a raw talent I
possessed but a calling and the reason for my very existence. So
in essence a coach is a person who is skillfully and intuitively trained
to facilitate an individual’s journey to reaching their destiny in
life.
Let’s be honest
though as many of you potential coaches may be thinking, well why don’t
all the people just sit and ask themselves questions and just self coach
themselves? As I outlined in the beginning the very essence of coaching
is the question –answer process but that is not all there is to life
coaching techniques. Asking questions is only the elementary level of
understanding the art of coaching. At our training school you gain the
secret strategies for incredible coaching sessions. But prior to
learning to coach others, you are equipped to utilize and to implement
coaching steps in your own life. Many find this to be life changing
since most have never been coached before, thus gaining the power of
coaching themselves first. Your certification training also qualifies
you to earn between $100-2,000 an hour, depending on how you structure
your practice. And finally your training will allow you to take
virtually any talent you have and turn it into a coaching practice or
another entrepreneurial business. WOW, now that is freedom. Most that
come to our company find that we give professionals a new beginning
and a great place to make a dream a reality. Coaching is only about one
thing—success. You have to want to be successful. It’s a very relative
term but we all can have it if we venture out to find it.
For some of you
this may sound too good to be true. After all what qualifies me to even
tell you about finding success through life coaching. In the
traditional sense I am not a typical life coach. No, not at all in fact
my M.A. in National Security and Statecraft is an odd background and
considered to be on the opposite spectrum of the life coaching
industry. To counter my non traditional background I became a CTA
certified coach. What qualifies me though is not only the education I
received at IWP, the top national security school in our nation’s
capitol or even just my life coaching certification, or the fact that I
founded the most cutting edge and one of the most successful life
coaching firms in America. What tops all of those great reasons is that
my profession is my calling. I dare you to wake up in the
morning and see how well you do something when every piece of your soul
and body tells you that you have found your calling, your purpose, your
reason for living and making a difference. It is liberating and that
synergy, wisdom, and passion, also liberates your clients.
But don’t take my
word for it; ask the numerous amounts of professionals that have
graduate from our programs. We have individuals who have become part of
our Team Genesis because they are sold out to the cause of our company,
